WE HAD A GUEST IN CLASS TODAY!

A woman named Anne Denman came into class to talk about the animation industry. Its clear she knows what shes talking about and had good advice through the presentation although it was difficult to keep up with her at points. At the same point the nature of such a high energy presentation kept it interesting and memorable.
Some of the advice she gave us was about the importance of connections. I have heard the same or similar advise from other people who were also in the industry and with that it is becoming more apparent to me how necessary networking is.
She also showed us some ways to make an interesting resume and also the value of having an interesting resume in the first place. She gave us a copy of two different resumes and the difference in them made it apparent to me that not every resume has to be stuffed to the brim with your credentials. it can also be visually appealing in order to grab the attention of the person reading your resume. It made me realize that the people on the other side reading your resume are just as human as me which gives me a different perspective on what makes a resume appealing.

Thanks Anne for the presentation! :)
